Strawberries, mint, and fine feathered friends!

This recipe makes 2 cups of simple syrup, which, if properly stored, can last in your fridge for up to 2 weeks.

How to Make Strawberry Mint Simple Syrup

  1. Begin by removing the tops from all your strawberries cutting the larger ones into halves or quarters.

  2. Place the cut and topped strawberries into a large pot. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar on top. Stir to ensure the sugar coats the strawberries evenly. This helps draw out the juices.

  3. Sprinkle 2 TBsp sugar on top.

  4. Simmer on low for half an hour, stirring occasionally.

  5. Remove from heat and strain into bowl. Make sure to press down and squeeze all that strawberry goodness out!

  6. Return strawberry water to pot and add 1/2 cup of water.

  7. Add mint leaves and let simmer for half an hour.

  8. Strain the mixture into large bowl.

  9. Return to pot and add 2 cups of sugar, stirring to combine.

  10. Use the funnel to carefully direct your strawberry mint goodness into your desired storage container; ensure the container is clean and airtight to preserve the syrup's freshness.

Now, you have a delicious homemade strawberry mint simple syrup for cocktails, mocktails, iced tea, breakfast, desserts, and more. Enjoy experimenting with this delightful creation!
